“Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.”
Members of the church of Sardis DEFILED their 'garments'. All of them except for 'a few'.
Now what is 'garments'? It is clothes. So does it mean they got dirt on their clothes? No. Clothes aka Garments mean this.
Genesis 3:21
“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.”
It is coat of skins. What kind? It shall be lambskin. Why? Because what Jesus is called? The lamb of GOD.
My theory is that Adams originally had completely different flesh and bones which lasts forever and when they fall they got lambskin and animal-like flesh & blood which ages and dies. So Jesus had to wear that coat to abolish the curse and give humans new clothing. Incorruptible body. New bottle for the new wine.
So Sardis is a church who defiled their flesh. They will have to go through the great tribulation unless they repent and hold fast. How they can defile their flesh and make God so unpleasant? Maybe getting something inside their body? Mixing DNA?
Now look at the church of Philadephia.
Revelation 3:8
“I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”
Revelation 3:10
“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”
Although they have little strength (no money no power) they keep God's word. And do not deny God's name. What does that mean? God's name is in the DNA. And denying means?
Mixing DNA.
So they get to be kept from the temptation which will come upon ALL THE WORLD.
Clearly they do not defile their 'garments' and keep the word of GOD. And they get delivered from a WORLDWIDE tribulation.
7 churches have features as a group and as an individual. So I think it should be 7 by 7 matrix. Rather than just a linear timeline. It has so much more in it. Next time I will share other churches which are related to Roman Catholic and WCC and female pastor.
